Shincha Yabukita organic 2026

Our Shincha from the spring 2026 harvest impresses with an elegant umami character.

With the second and third infusion, this note gradually develops into a more pronounced mineral character, while remaining just as persistent on the palate. Compared to our other Shinchas from the 2026 harvest, this tea is more subtle and refined, offering a soft and elegant cup that is also wonderfully suited to the morning.

The Yabukita cultivar is known for its particularly early harvest. Alongside Yutakamidori, it is one of the most widely cultivated tea cultivars in Japan and enjoys enormous popularity. In Shizuoka, Yabukita accounts for almost 75% of the tea plants grown in the region. The well-known Okumidori and Saemidori cultivars were also developed from Yabukita.

This Shincha is particularly well suited to Mizudashi preparation, the traditional Japanese method of cold brewing green tea.
