Shincha Saemidori organic 2026

The vivid “clear green” colour of our Saemidori Shincha from the 2026 harvest immediately catches the eye.

The infusion is brilliantly green, with a creamy character, generous sweetness and a rich, full-bodied mouthfeel. With the second and third infusion, its character gradually shifts towards more pronounced mineral notes, while remaining remarkably persistent on the palate.

The Saemidori cultivar is a cross between Yabukita and Asatsuyu and is highly valued for the production of premium Japanese teas such as Shincha, Kabusecha, Gyokuro and Matcha.

This Shincha is particularly well suited to Mizudashi preparation, the traditional Japanese method of cold brewing green tea.
