Lung Ching Shi Feng (Pre-Qingming)

Shi Feng, meaning “Lion’s Peak”, is regarded as one of China’s most sought-after green teas.

Such is its reputation and value that it has traditionally been considered a prestigious wedding gift among affluent Chinese families.

In Zhejiang Province, near the city of Hangzhou, lies the famous Xihu, or West Lake. Numerous tea-growing villages are scattered around its shores, producing some of the finest Lung Ching teas. Only very young shoots are harvested, then carefully pressed and heated by hand in steel pans. This traditional method gives the leaves their characteristic flat shape while preserving their fresh and aromatic character.

In the cup, this Lung Ching is wonderfully lively and invigorating, with a distinctive nutty character reminiscent of sweet chestnuts. Its fresh, expressive nature makes it a delightful companion throughout the day.
