Big Red Robe comes from the same tea plants as Da Hong Pao from the Wu Yi Shan mountains in the north of China's Fujian province. It is highly aromatic and leaves a long-lasting taste on the tongue. Mildly roasted over charcoal, it develops an ashy note.
This tea has been heavily oxidized and roasted, making it easy to store and even suitable for long-term storage.
